UWC Day ECC and Grade 1 students worked collaboratively to celebrate the UWC Day by doing different activities that promote unity, service, sharing and sustainability. The Preschool C enjoyed making special cards, performing music videos and baking muffins for the elders to be given to the Home for the Aged in Paklok, Phuket. They also made some pots using recycled materials and planted some seeds. Grade 11's came and helped our little children in various activities. Indeed, it was such a beautiful way to celebrate UWC Day! ECC Family Picnic and International Day Breakfast It was such a great morning when all ECC children and families gathered together for our very first ECC Fun Day event. We shared a delicious picnic breakfast. Thank you all for bringing and sharing your healthy and yummy breakfast. Here are a few quotes from the children: Ashley: “I like the picnic because I eat with my mummy and sister.” Maia: “I liked it when my mummy and daddy said goodbye and I love the different foods.” Gabby: ‘I liked all the foods and I had fruits and orange juice.” Angus: “I like the bread and I bring fruits and yoghurt.” Kai: “I really like the pancake at the picnic.” Tycoon: I like it when my mummy and daddy eat with me. Chase: “I love to eat the cookies that mummy made. I played with Kai nicely.” Ameli: “I liked the picnic and I played with mummy.” Beau: “I really liked eating cookies. My mum brought some cupcakes. My dad came too and he played football and built Lego with me.” Melissa: “I like picnic because I eat cupcake.” Mandy: “I really like the picnic because I like to eat sweet flower dessert. “ Bonus: “I like chicken and sticky rice in the picnic.” Classroom Explorations and Activities Our letter sound of the week was 'Ii'. We had fun with our igloo crafts, ice painting, and insect sensory bin. We played cooperatively with our friends and shared school materials. Last week we welcomed Melissa!
