Collaborative Artwork This year for the Art Auction in Arts Week, Preschool has decided to decorate a mirror with lots of little paintings. Our class have been carefully preparing our miniature paintings. We have discovered there are many stages to producing a beautiful painting and we sometimes need to practice to get the picture we imagine. Measurement This week we have been looking at the difference between height (how tall something is) and length (how long something is). With our buddies, we took a piece of string into the playground to find if our playground equipment was longer, taller or shorter than the piece of string. We drew the things we measured and put them on a chart to display. We have also been measuring things in our classroom using cubes. Vv Our letter sound of the week has been Vv. We have painted some lovely vases in the shape of a letter v. We made a volcano and watched it froth and flow. We practiced our food preparation skills to cut up some vegetables. We discussed which were our favourite and enjoyed trying something new. Then we visited the worm farm and gave the worms our vegetable scraps. Happy Birthday!
It was Hunter and Taylor's birthday last week, and we celebrated their birthday on Friday. Everyone enjoyed the wonderfully decorated cookies! Comments are closed.
