IS IT A LIVING THING? A plant in our classroom that was not thriving provided great discussion for our students last week. We guided students ideas using a thinking routine called "I see..." "I think..." to make their thinking visible. FIELD TRIP TO VANICH FARM A great day was enjoyed by all on our field trip to Vanich Farm. Students observed corn and rice crops, herb and flower gardens and a range of farm animals. We learned more about what these living things need and what kind of care their require. PREPARING FOR OUR ECC GARAGE SALE
Students enjoyed sorting toys, preparing price tags and of course playing with toys in preparation for our ECC Garage Sale. We raised 17,010 Baht! Thank you for supporting our students in taking action. We will be working with Baan Paklong Cheep School to find out what play equipment we can support them in purchasing.

MATHS: MAKE EQUAL SETS Last week, we read a story called, The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins. It supported students in developing their counting skills and also encouraged them to think about sharing things equally and fairly. GRADE 3 BUDDIES Students selected their favourite story for the grade 3 buddies to read. They then went on a treasure hunt looking for living and non-living things in the ECC gardens and playground. WHAT DO LIVING THINGS NEED? We visited Nurse Joop in the health clinic to find out more about what people need to stay strong and healthy. She also took the opportunity to check students height and weight. Sharing the Planet Students enjoyed tuning into our new year long unit. We went on a nature hunt looking for living and non-living things around the UWCT campus. We also went on a small hike during our field trip to the nearby national park. MATHEMATICS: COUNTING BACK Students have been learning to count back from 5 and 10. We read stories, sang counting songs and made rocket ships.
