HighLights from Week 2, Term 2Looking at our Unit of Inquiry with our Grade 3 buddies Last Tuesday, we focused on making maps with our buddies. We chose an area of the playground or classroom and tried to draw where everything was. This required us to develop our spatial awareness skills - it was quite difficult! Next week we will carry on with this, cutting out and sticking on the different things in our environment. ECC Garage Sale profits used to purchase sporting equipment for Baan Paklong Cheep School At the end of November, Preschool teachers encouraged ECC students to take action. Many families supported their children in selling gently used items at a Garage Sale. 50% of all profits were donated and we raised more than 15,000 Baht. After consulting with Baan Paklong Cheep school (close to UWCT) they shared with us a list of sporting items they needed. Last Tuesday, Preschool teachers, several students and their parents helped us to deliver these items to the school. Students were delighted with their new equipment and we look forward to continuing this partnership. Special thanks to those who supported our Garage sale: Kyra and Kru Olivia, Kru Caryl, Kai and Kru Heidi, Mandy, Clayton and Sai Mai, Kru Kathy, Derek and Vanessa, Liam, Stella and Daniela, Jessica, Jayden and Joy, Alexia and Kathy, Nana and Yuriko, Mia and Liz, Karate and Sinnion, Keani and Christina, Lexi, Tess, Ben and Denise, Cooper and Michelle, and Jasmine and Jongrak. Chinese New Year celebrations!
Thank you so much to all the parents who came in to read stories and do Chinese crafts with us! The children really enjoyed it and learnt a little more about the Chinese culture. They also really liked the Chinese snack and of course, to top it all off, the dragon dance! Comments are closed.
