Friday 27th January - Chinese New Year celebrations (children encouraged to wear red, gold or Chinese national costume). Thank you to Chinese parents who will be sharing crafts and stories with our children! See below for more details. - Car Boot Sale: Set up 2pm, Sale from 2.30 - 4.30. 300b for a stall. Wednesday 8th February - Student Led Conferences (info email and sign-up will be sent later this week) Friday 10th February - Multicultural Day. If you have yet to connect with your fellow countrymen and are looking to get involved in the celebrations, or would like more information, please contact PSG ([email protected]). If you would like to register a national performance, please email Kru Frederick ([email protected]) with the details, including a short description, length of performance, performers and music. Students, Staff and Parents are all encouraged to share their country's celebrated performances. Limited spaces apply so register your group as soon as you can. Meatless Mondays: A student initiative to be meat free on a Monday. No meat will be served on Mondays. UWCT is celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday 27 January! There will be a whole-school assembly from 1445-1530, with the infamous Lion Dance at the end. The whole community is invited to attend (parents please pick up your child as usual from the Preschool classrooms and then you can take them there if you wish). All are encouraged to wear Chinese costumes, or the colours red and gold to get into the festive spirit. Please note that this is not a free dress day for students, and they should either wear clothes under this theme or wear their school uniform. Our lovely Chinese parents will be serving Chinese New Year Sticky Rice Cake for morning snacks, and visiting the ECC to share Chinese folk tales and crafts.
